Owners and hosts are North Americans Barbara and Jim Thompson

Along with our family, our vision began in the spring of 2005 and has continued to evolve. It all started with a glorious view of the mountains that we knew had to be shared with others. We began construction in May of 2006 and since that time have built four cottages, a beautiful 60 foot waterfall/swimming pool, and the Bird’s & Butterfly’s Restaurant.

In keeping with nature and being environmentally friendly, our goal is to become completely self-sustainable in the future. We have started with an organic garden and have plans to convert to solar energy within the next two years.

Being animal lovers, we have joined Kids Saving the Rainforest in building an animal sanctuary. Our first phase has been completed with brand new accommodations for Brazilian, Panamanian, and Columbian monkeys. Our second phase will be to provide housing for animals that cannot be rehabilitated back into the Costa Rican rainforest.

As our guests, we hope that you will come and visit us and enjoy the beauty and serenity that this region of Costa Rica has to offer.
